Physical Therapy Treatments

Stretching

Stretching is an important part of injury recovery.  With proper stretching techniques it will aid and sometimes decrease the amount of time in the recovery process. A few types of stretching used in injury recovery include static, dynamic, muscle energy techniques and Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF). PNF is a type of stretching that incorporates muscle contractions with stretching.  This effective type of stretching not only targets specific muscle groups but also increases muscular strength and flexibility.  Stretching can also be used as a preventative measure to injuries.
